Pinus radiata

NZ$0.00

Monterey pine

<

Habitat:
–––––––––--
Soil Types: Pinus radiata can handle soils with low nutrients. They can pretty much grow in all different types of soil such as sandy dunes to gravely soils at high altitudes. They grow best in free draining soils since they are susceptible to root disease.

Climate: Pinus radiata can grow in all climates, cold, moderate, warm. But they don’t like humid summers, they prefer dry summer periods. They are wind and salt wind tolerant but can crack in strong winds such as storms.  They are snow resistant. Sites that may experience very low temperatures, heavy snow or hail aren’t suitable for Pinus radiata.

Sunlight:
–––––––––--
Prefers full sun.
Tolerates semi shade.

Size:
–––––––––--
55m
