The Acorus gramineus variegata is only partly evergreen and likes growing on the margins of ponds and rivers. This perennial has pretty white and green flax-like foliage, which lies in flattened rows. The stiff, grassy tufts form a low mound of narrow sword-shaped leaves, striped lengthwise. Great for edging around small ponds. A beautiful accent plant for a moist rock garden or beside a pool or stream. Prefers semi-shade and tolerates very wet conditions.
