For the past 30 years we have developed and delivered outstanding services and expertise to our client partners including eco-sourcing, propagation and the supply of plants at scale for re-vitalisation projects nationwide.
The germination of an idea has grown into a mighty business.
We’re a family-owned business invested in plants - an investment bordering on obsession. We know plants. Trust us. We are artists; the plants are our brush and the environment is our canvas. What began as an idea in the 1990’s has grown to Kauri Park being recognised as New Zealand’s largest commercial nursery supplier, and the market leader in quality standards and innovation in the landscaping sector today. We have the most significant ecological footprint in the country, having supplied over 100,000,000 native plants for Aotearoa’s ecosystems.
Our capabilities
The scale of our business has not compromised the passion we inject into everything we do. Our growing capacity of 33ha currently at our three nurseries in Waipu, Palmerston North and Kaiwaka headquarters includes state-of-the-art Dutch potting systems, allowing us to grow and supply a staggering range and volume of plants. We also have our own fleet of trucks, each doing multiple deliveries each day.
Our people
Our family-owned business has grown to include over 100 full-time staff as well as contracted planting teams today. Without exception they are all plant lovers, experts and enthusiasts delivering an exceptional standard throughout the process.
Our growing know-how
All plants are grown and nurtured by an experienced team that is proficient in plant health, pests and diseases. Nothing teaches as well as doing. When you plant and grow 20 million natives a year, you develop a sixth sense about how nature works. Over time we have observed ecosystems and what makes them tick. We don’t control nature - no-one can – however we harness and work with it to create thriving ecosystems that bring quality of life to all those that inhabit them.
